SUMMARY:NZSS Annual Raft Race
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand the raft race will once again be run the first Saturday of November. Anyone that has attended this event will know how much fun it is and those that have not yet have the pleasure should check it out. \nLast year there was a great turn out with all ages from little people to grandparents. We are not too far from 50 years since the first so get into this long running event. A trophy is up for grabs (individual)\, but the trophy is only secondary to the social atmosphere of the raft race. \nThe start will be the standard bridge at the start of Speedies Road – with a 1:30pm starting time. If people arrive by 1pm then cars can be shuttled to the finish. \nOf course after the event we will retire to the HTG hut for a BBQ and appreciate the fireworks (Guy Fawkes weekend) – bring your own. It would be great to have a few ASG teams. It is a very social event. And of course people can go caving on Sunday.
