SUMMARY:NZSS NI SRT & Rigging Course
DESCRIPTION:Hi everyone\, we are holding a course in Waitomo which will cover the following areas: \n• Rigging for safety and ease of getting on / off pitches\n• Personal SRT Skills\n• Small group rope rescue skills\n• A mix of above ground practice and discussion and below ground practical exercises \nLed by Chris Whitehouse this course will be interactive and inclusive\, so bring your ideas to the table. It should be an interesting and fun weekend. \nWhen: Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd August 2015 \nWhere: We will be based at the ASG Club Hut “Awatiro” in Waitomo but be using a variety of location as suits. \nWho: From relative new-comers to SRT to the experienced you should get value from this course and learn new ideas and skills. Not suitable if you have not done any SRT at all. You must be a member of the NZSS. \nCost: TBC but low. You will be responsible for getting to the venue\, your accommodation (plenty of room at the ASG or HTG huts) and brekkies and lunches. We will provide tea and coffee and an evening meal on Saturday at Awatiro. I will confirm the cost of the meal later after you register. \nRegistration: Places are limited so please e-mail me with your name\, phone number and level of experience (so we can tweak the course to suit).
