SUMMARY:ASG Club Trip - Plumbers Pass cave
DESCRIPTION:Saturday August 16th \nIntermediate trip to Plumbers Pass cave \nIt’s a short drive from the hut and then a 15 minute walk across the farm to the submergence entrance. There are two pitches to start with – a 10m drop at the entrance and then a 13m waterfall shortly afterwards. No further pitches after this\, but some climbing. \nThere’s about 1.5 km of passage to explore before we emerge on another farm and walk back to the start overland. \nSunday August 17th \nHeading deep into Awatiro / Stubbs farm to visit a couple of unsurveyed caves. A long walk on a good farm track. Paul will wrangle one or two others to help survey at least one of these caves. No ropes required. \nLeader: Paul Rowe
